🌍 Commitment to Net-Zero
At Counterpart, we recognize the urgent need for climate action. As a Canadian-built software company, we are committed to doing our part in achieving a sustainable, low-carbon future.
We commit to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our scope 1 and 2 operations, and our most material scope 3 categories, by 2050.

This includes:
- Eliminating direct emissions from our operations (scope 1), where applicable
- Minimizing indirect emissions from purchased electricity (scope 2)
- Accounting for and reducing emissions from key upstream activities such as software infrastructure, business travel, and purchased services (scope 3)
Our remote-first business model already limits our emissions footprint. Still, we are actively building a GHG inventory, engaging vendors, and exploring reduction strategies to ensure measurable progress.
We are proud participants in the Government of Canada’s Net-Zero Challenge and will share updates as we refine our reduction plan, set interim targets, and publicly report progress.
Together, we can build better — for our customers, our communities, and the climate.
